Amanda Hicks is a dedicated marathon runner with a 3:01 personal record who has completed 16 consecutive Boston Marathons since 2010. Originally from Grand Prairie, Texas (graduated South Prairie High School, 2002), she worked as a journalist for the Dallas Morning News before moving to Washington DC for 13-14 years, then relocating to Flagstaff, Arizona for optimal training conditions. Key Achievements: 3:01 marathon PR (multiple sub-3:05 times) 16 consecutive Boston Marathon finishes 60+ marathons completed Course record holder at Cowtown 50K (3:53) Comrades Ultra Marathon finisher (56 miles, South Africa) Training: Lives at 7,200 feet elevation in Flagstaff, regularly runs 70-80 mile weeks, trains alongside Olympic athletes including Sara Hall and Jim Walmsley. Currently works remotely for Comcast in advertising technology. Notable: Started her first marathon training around White Rock Lake in Dallas heat, qualifying for Boston with her second marathon (3:32).
